ABOUT SHAYLEE

Shaylee Mansfield, a Deaf YouTuber turned into actress by accident, initially caught the world’s attention when several of her videos went viral garnering millions of hits. She starred in ASL Nook (2013-2019) for over 50 episodes inspiring families and children worldwide to learn American Sign Language (ASL).

Shaylee along with her family was featured in Disney’s Unforgettable Happens Here commercial (2016) which won the Gold Award at the LA Addys in 2017. Plus, the Mansfield family was featured as one of the three Deaf families on A&E documentary Deaf Out Loud (2018) produced by Jonathan Murray and Marlee Matlin.

Since then Shaylee booked roles in various nationwide commercials, television, and films. Her first acting gig was for Disney+ Noelle (2019) starring Anna Kendrick. Shaylee debuted in her first lead role for Netflix’s feature film, Feel the Beat (2020) starring Sofia Carson. Shaylee had a major supporting role in Thirteen Minutes (2021) starring Anne Heche, Amy Smart and Peter Facinelli. Coming up next is a recurring role on ABC’s TV show The Company You Keep (2023) playing as Milo Ventimiglia’s niece and Sarah Wayne Callies’s daughter. For more details, check her IMDb out.

It is her wildest, biggest dream to play a live-action Disney princess, villain, be in a fantasy or comedy, and to star in her own project. Shaylee is also gaining attention as a social media influence enlightening the world what it means to be unapologetically a Deaf girl in an-all hearing world.

Born in Burbank, California to Deaf parents… Shaylee enjoys caring for animals, creating videos, painting, organizing (Hello The Home Edit!), and riding the craziest roller coasters. Someday, she hopes to buy her own land for her future adopted dogs to run freely. Shaylee’s motto, “Be myself” echoes true as she shows authenticity in her roles and own life – be it quirky, quiet, rebellious, hilarious, or everything in one!
